The laughter isn't canned, its recorded at a showing to the public when they do the studio bits, and then mixed really badly to make it sound canned. |

If this were the other way around, and Americans or say, Canadians, were portraying British people, they would have at least faked a British accent. These folks weren't even trying. |

You left out Monty Python and Fawlty Towers.
BTW to which I find John Cleese a riot of them all. Therefore don't generalize. Plus most Americans do not get BBC broadcast of British comedies. They only show up on PBS which rarely buys the comedies. Maybe if they were exposed more you might get some results. Blame Hollwood. You twit. |

Of all the inane conspiracy theory babble, this might be the worst. It's certainly the most hypocritical, since it's from people who want everyone to believe everything the conspiracy theorists tell them even when it's provably impossible for it to be true.
And yes, Fleaman1797, you would look a lot smarter if you simply shut your mouth. Or, more accurately, typed nothing. Your inability to use basic English makes you look less smart than blank space would. |

Only Americans think American comedy is funny (except the few exceptions) whereas the rest of the world probably prefer British comedy.

@austin1 - if we left comedy to Americans we would just be stuck with overated poo like 2 and a half Men, George Lopez and Friends. Brit humour >>>>> US Humour. The only funny comedy that comes out of the US is South Park, Family Guy and Curb Your Enthusiasm. |
