Even if there is a positive correlation between AGD length and fertility, that does not mean that measuring the AGD in any way amounts to an accurate fertility test. It merely tells you the probability of an individual being fertile. |

Actually, to anyone who knows the anatomical effects of testosterone and estrogen this is not that surprising. Testosterone differentiates whether or not ones foetal gonads (and all the plumbing) becomes male or female. The more foetal testosterone the larger the AGD distance (in both males and females). As such, I would predict that a larger AGD distance in females leads to decreased fertility. |

Hmmm..I'll have to look into more of that. I'll have to take measuremnts and record data and see if it applies on some of the prize bulls around here. Seems none have the problem of conceiving though. |
