they do make things to connect computers to tv screens too...all you are missing is flipping the power switch on the console itself...but with this thing, you aren't even using the original console. |

@ smigbaafm - Emulators are alright and yeah they are a lot cheaper, but I like the satisfaction of playing old school games on a t.v. screen rather than computer. I give props to emulators for being more convenient, but it's still never the same for me. Plus there's no way to play the Mario Paint emulator.  I've tried. |

Why?
if you have the cartridges and controllers, you will most likely already have the rest of the hardware to play with them.
...and if you don't already have the cartridges and controllers, they are increasingly harder to come by and are collectors items, so downloading an emulator would be much cheaper and easier. Even if you just wanted the satisfaction of playing with the original controller, they do make things to connect said controllers to your computer for use with an emulator. |

Emulation is one thing (I won't get into it being illegal or anything cuz I do it to) but there is just something better and authentic about using a game cartridge and the proper controller. Anyone who has not played a game on the original console is missing out, imo. |
