Monday, March 21, 2011 7:33:11 AM Baalthazaq: It's both first and seen as most important. Just look at the responses - every response is stating that people should be considered to be defined by their sex and conform to whatever sexist stereotypes the poster likes. Experiments have been done watching adults interacting with infants. The adults were deliberately misled about the purpose of the tests - they thought the infants were the focus. Consistently, the adults interacted differently with infants on the basis of what sex they were told the infants were and regardless of what sex the infants actually were (it's easy to fool people about the sex of a child that young, since you can't tell their sex when they're dressed). If it isn't of paramount importance, why ask it as the first question, before even asking about their health? If it isn't important at all, why ask it at all? |

Monday, March 21, 2011 7:24:56 AM Ditto sir. Gender often plays a part in our behaviors. We're fundamentally different and (here's were everyone needs to just chill out) THAT'S OKAY! Women don't have to be masculine to be equal to us! They just have to be themselves. We are all good at diffent things and have differnt tallents. That variety is why we can funtion as a society at all! That variety is exactly what you are denying, since you are trying to push everyone into whatever you consider is appropriate for their sex. Treating humanity as just two people ("men" and "women") is not variety. It's the opposite of variety. Treating humanity as billions of individuals is variety. It annoys me how often people such as yourself reverse the truth. |
