He isn't perfectly correct. If he dissipated the energy by simply flopping downwards, he wouldn't make it.
The trick is to transform some of that falling energy into forward motion. He clearly does that. Just doesn't state it.
Also, like hell I would jump from that high into a Olympic pool, much less a kiddie's pool! Gramps got cojones |
