Tuesday, April 05, 2011 7:13:33 PM @kummi90 I agree that anthropomorphizing is generally a silly thing, if not completely full of fallacy wholes, but we can't totally rule out something here! Yes the dog is probably not feeling "guilt" at all--although truly we'll never know, but I'm siding with you here.... however, he KNOWS he did something wrong because he has been able to correlate that certain actions (we'll call eating kitty food action A) may and often do elicit responses from owners that the dog simply doesn't like. While there may be no guilt for the action themselves, dogs definitely exhibit reactions based upon their owners actions. Just like the old counting horse trick proven to be false (hoax is stretching it). A horse would be told to count to a certain number by stomping his feet, and the horse did so until they could pick up on subtle--usually not seeable by human eyes--changes in their master's behavior, inadvertently clueing the horse to stop counting at the correct answer. Monday, March 21, 2011 7:01:20 AM @kummi90 I disagree. When my dog knew he'd been caught doing something he shouldnt, he'd put his ears down, shy away, tail between legs etc. He KNEW he'd done wrong. Guilt. |

Sunday, March 20, 2011 12:57:41 PM Wrong. Dogs can NOT feel guilt. It is not in their emotional range. People have to stop anthropomorphizing their pets, it's wicked annoying. Although this vid was cool. Dogs DO NOT feel guilt. |

Friday, March 18, 2011 12:21:29 PM Aww, that is the guiltiest looking dog I've ever seen. I don't know if cats know when they've misbehaved (or maybe they just don't care), but dogs definitely do. |

Friday, March 18, 2011 7:00:16 AM Awwww... that was adorable. I have to say I'm really happy the owner wasn't yelling at the dog about it too. |

Thursday, March 17, 2011 9:28:47 PM Haha, that face is weird. That's the face my dog used to pull before chewing the poo outta something. It's baring its teeth. But the music makes it looks like the dog is crying! My mind = blown. |
