green_btrfly...Why would a tooth fairy make cookies? Surely that would just result in more work for them. Unless they get paid on commission, in which case I guess it's all to their benefit.
Anyway.
As for the bullied kid, I think it was handled nicely. He gave the little one a chance to walk away. When he was pushed, he put an end to it swiftly and he left it there. |

Pretty similar to my experience being picked on as a kid. They stopped when I gave a couple of them a busted lip and broken nose. |

I lose patients all the time due to their inability to lose body fat before surgery-and colleagues have been sued by patients' families because they failed to tell their patients that they needed to lose weight before a procedure. It's like the difference between picking up a penny at the bottom of a 2 gallon water-filled bucket versus picking up a penny at the bottom of a grease-filled well. It is certainly not my responsibility to make people feel bad about being obese, but it is my responsibility to let them know that they are killing themselves and there are some very simple steps they need to take to fix it. I'm saddened by people who think that a self-esteem boost is more important than life. |

Unfortunately, it won't matter what anyone does, the little sh*t will get off as the victim and the big kid will take the fall.
Because the big kid's bigger. With the bullsh*t system they have in most schools, he bigger kid is supposed to "show restraint" because he "knows he can do more damage."
That's how the system works. It's f*cked up, and needs fixed, but it's how it works.
Two separate incidents in my 7th grade year demonstrated the school's "system" to me. One guy had been bugging me all year, tried to start fights and crap. One day, I snapped and threw a kick. I busted his watch, and I got suspended.
The DAY I came back, the guy was waiting for me outside of school to try and fight me again. I took him out completely that time, leaving him in an arm and leg cast for a satisfying period of time.
I was lucky to avoid legal trouble, and I narrowly avoided expulsion, but all the fault STILL fell one me at t |
