Every single one of you failures went and saw every movie. And I would bet dollars to donuts at least half of you own the DVDs of all six. This is the internet; you want to complain about meaningless crap: fine! But I'm calling you out on this one. The only reason you all say the prequel trilogy sucks is because the internet told you to say it. It's cool to say 1-3 sucks. Makes you losers feel smart. Face it: A New Hope was made by a semi-experienced director with never heard of, hack actors. Ep. 1-3 was made with money, experience, and professional actors.
You can deny all you want but you know God damn good and well that you drating CAME IN YOUR PANTS when Yoda pulled out his little Light Saber for the first time.
And I DEFY you to prove otherwise. |

goaliejerry, the cgi things would be fine, but the people and anything not computer generated would have to be made digitally 3D and it just wont look good. this also means that if they do the originals, they will be horrible...think clash of the titans 3D. |

I don't know about you but I like a little story between people slapping light sabers together and watching big gray ships fly past my scene. I admit Ep. 1-3 had a bit of story, but it was so horribly thrown together with so many plot holes that it may as well have been nonexistent.
The first star wars wasn't even necessary because of the amount of time that occurred between the first and second one; The only important fact that carried over was that they Anakin was a slave and they won a bet to get him.
Unfortunately, given the huge amount of information they just tell the audience by walking around or sitting around and talking about things that happened between the two movies, they really didn't need a whole three hour movie to say, "Anakin was a slave."
Sorry but sitting through them once was torturous enough as it is. |

Again, practically 93% of the movie is CGI using 3D models. It won't be just treating the 2D version, it will be re-run through computers to create a technically different version. Have faith! |

The opening scene of Episode III in 3d? I say YES! I mean, the entire movie series was CGI, you know Lucas has the software copies of the entire movies, the conversion to 3D is merely a matter of reprocessing using modern computers, it will be sweet. Its not just treating the old film, it will be reprocessing the CGI using the 3D models used to create the movie in the first place.
I'm going, and it will be awesome. |

You don't watch Star Wars for the story, you watch it for Battlecruisers and epic lightsaber battles, of which there are plenty. Yeah, ok, that little kid's acting sucked jar jar balls, but it was still fricken star wars.

@auburnjunky 4K = 4096 x 2160 resolution (approx 8.85 megapixels), but the technology's only at 24 FPS compared to 2K's 48 FPS capability.
