All we need to do is find an effective placebo to treat Aids, Cancer, and Herpes Simplex - can't be the only person to have thought of this. |

@skullgrin WHat's so weird about that. If the doctor believes he is using a real cure then he is more convincing to the patient. Otherwise the effect is depending on how good an actor he is. |

i remember growing up my nan had magic cream aka moisturiser, that would help if i hurt myself...swear down the pain would go, and i only recently found out it wasnt magic cream... |

something that this video forgot to mention was that placebo's are also more effective if the doctor administering the placebo doesnt know they are placebos and also believes the pills are real.
now THAT is weird. |

You know how parents think sugar makes their kids hyperactive? Not only is it a placebo for the kid, but the parent's perspective of their kids is changed. Sugar has been proven not to have anything to do with hyperactivity. |
