Thursday, February 17, 2011 5:33:08 PM Infographics are supposed to show me quick facts and statistics about stuff in a way that I can understand. This repeated what I've learned in economics this past week. |

Thursday, February 17, 2011 10:57:52 AM The Capitalist economy is far too unmanageable. If a portion of the effort that goes into controlling it would go into researching solving the issues of a socialist economy we would have a permanent solution. |

Wednesday, February 16, 2011 10:11:40 PM This isn't precisely accurate. Inflation is an increase in the money supply relative to the GDP. Rising prices are the RESULT of inflation, but they are not inflation. Look at it this way: if you had all the money, you could buy all the stuff. If you had more dollars, but there was still the same amount of stuff, it would just take more dollars to buy the same stuff. Right now the Fed is buying up treasury bills with money they have created out of thin air. The government then spends this money on stuff, competing against the rest of us and our dollars to buy the same stuff. The result is predictable: more dollars bidding for the same stuff means each dollar is worth less, so the price of stuff goes up. Unfortunately, much of that money is going overseas for oil. Oil is still oil, but the value of the dollar is going down the toilet. |

Wednesday, February 16, 2011 6:12:46 PM This was quite informative... I don't have anything funny to say after that though. I don't even know why you are still reading this comment. |

Wednesday, February 16, 2011 5:45:20 PM ok...now you must know brazil: we have inflation since i was born, and for a 12month of work, 7 are ONLY for the government, that doesn't do a poo in return. people are dying in floods, diseases that could've been already extinct, lack of public security, civil war, because of those nasty politicians the people who are illiterate(or didn't complete school-like 70% of the population) put there in change for a plate of food. oh, also the brazilian president is working for an anti-semite party, and does comercial agreements with iran and those other countries UN had imposed penalties to. please....someone take me out of here... |

Wednesday, February 16, 2011 3:13:27 PM I never understood economics, and I never will. Therefore, I predict I'll soon be in deep $hit. Sucks. |
