If you watch carefully there is water on the other side of the gate - ie. it's a closed waterslide.

Seems like an excellent idea to put a metal gate at the end of the slide. She wont do that again.

Yes it's stupid but what's more than stupid is to put the metal bars at the BOTTOM of the slide when it should clearly be at the TOP of it. This is equivalent to putting a warning sign after the road ends..

@Zinabas I agree with DracObi. The spash is just pooling water. There's no water going down the slide. They're just idiots using a water slide with no water.

@DracoBi , You took the first words I was about to write out of my mouth. Still, I think I would be one of those people trying to do such a thing. Yet, I think I would have had the common sense to do my best to open that gate. I've been down such slides and they are scary enough by themselves! To have a sudden end of anything makes me not want to do it. As self destructive as I am, I don't mean to be. I only do such things because I picture in my head I can make it!!! This would only make me think so if I were somehow able to pass through those bars, maybe with the super hero powers I often imagine. For instance, I did a stint in jail years ago and I spent most of the time thinking "Gosh, if I could turn into a gas I could get out of here so easily" Not a very realistic way of escaping, not to mention the implications of attempting it.. not so much attempt escape, attempting to turn into gas. Not pretty. Makes other inmates angry.

Id like to point out the obvious. there is no water on this water slide. im pretty sure the iron bars are on it to prevent such idiots form using the slide when its not supposed to be used.

Better question: Who in the hell slides down a slide when they clearly see a metal gate that will stop them?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure had the park been open that gate wouldn't have been there, so yeah.

I did something similar, except I was naked and I broke my toe. There was enough water on the slide to make me go really fast, but not enough to slow me down at the bottom. It wasn't one of the big drops, it was one of the drop-flat-drop-flat ones. Ended with a brick pit and me breaking the plastic end. Very embarrassing.

Because it was meant to deter dumbasses from sliding down illegally when the park is apparently closed. Stupid is as stupid does.

First off, I don't think they were supposed to be up there, I mean who the hell wears jeans and a t-shirt to a swim park ?

As for the fence, It probably saved her from falling into an empty pool below.

I imagine flying out the end into an empty pool would be worse than hitting the gate.
