cmann,

Sorry, no, we don't have an escalator like that downtown (thank God)!

there's one in Canada too, but I'm guessing it's because all the Americans are coming up here! Don't worry, once you guys have finished pooting the bed there will always be room for our southern neighbors :)

cman7721-"Pretty Sure this is downtown in Indianapolis, Indiana."

Very sure you are incorrect.

This is in Okadaya Mores shopping mall in Kawasaki, Japan:

Unfortunately there is an escalator this high in Ikebukuro station, Tokyo as well. >< However, in Tokyo you see most people just using the stairs and only old people or people carrying heavy luggage use the escalator. I was glad it was there, as I also had a heavy suitcase and most Japanese stations don't have escalators at all. Not even the ones where you have to climb up 50 flights of stairs to get outside. ><

The mall near my house has something exactly like this. I always wondered "WHY?"

Except this is in Japan, so this is why they're fat?

Pretty Sure this is downtown in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I am thinking the guy posing for and filming this did so just because it was the "world's smallest".

It's also going down. WTF? I could easily jump that distance.

This thing is so useless that I see it as art.

It's all about placement. If the stairs were on the inside, people would be taking those instead.

"You spelled "herd" incorrectly. That is a sign of mental weakness. Please report to the nearest abattoir - and take with you anyone who had to look up the word "abattoir"."

On my way. I will also take this stupid laptop with the tiny keyboard.
