Tuesday, February 15, 2011 2:51:29 PM Awesome. For some reason this video makes me want to light one of those and drop it in someone's slightly opened car window. |

Tuesday, February 15, 2011 1:47:48 PM What was done is called "cheating" the launcher. Put a piece of pipe (metal only) in the launch platform's tube before you put in the shell. The longer the piece of pipe, the shorter the launch will be Cool! Thanks, Klivel! |

Tuesday, February 15, 2011 12:42:35 PM I've done this on purpose before... It was a smaller firework, but still just as cool. Next time you are shooting off mortars, put one in the tube upside down. What will usually happen is it will pop up in the air only a few feet and then burst. Just make sure you run like hell after lighting it :P |

Monday, February 14, 2011 10:01:03 PM I know what they did to cause this. Aaaaand, while I'll add that its an incredibly stupid thing to do, anyone can modify their artillery shell fireworks to make them not go nearly high enough. What was done is called "cheating" the launcher. Put a piece of pipe (metal only) in the launch platform's tube before you put in the shell. The longer the piece of pipe, the shorter the launch will be because the time spent "confined" forces the energy of the ignited shell to go straight down, which raises the amount of thrust, making it go up high. Less time in the confines of the tube means the shells ignition energy is spent in all directions. You can see in the video that the thruster type of burn is still going for quite a while, long enough that it even starts to come back down before it finally runs out. The braindead fellow who launched this firework cheated the launcher entirely too much. This is the type of person who shouldnt even be allowed match |
