You know, Big Ben's not that big.
A 14 tonne bell was pretty damn big in the 1850s, as was a 320 foot tall tower with four 25 feet wide clocks on it (Big Ben is strictly speaking the bell, but the tower is sometimes named after the bell).

I've been doing these things for ages, but nothing this big, IIRC isn't this the biggest in the world after the 56gp? I've only made a 1gp but if I had the money I could beat this hands down, I even worked it out that I could get around 400gp. :P

This kept me amused for ages. A taller building and I could see my house. I remember drunkenly having a race to the top of this building too, until we found out the front door was shut (it was 3am but that never occurred to us.) |
