this is in Iraq. its a civilian contracting company (mercenaries). the lead vehicle was hit by a IED. they show this video in our training classes. |

Humvee's can certainly fit in a single lane. A military Humvee (or Hummer H1) is 101" wide, from the tips of each side mirror.
A typical, two lane road has 12' wide lanes. Larger roads, such as interstates can have larger. That means that on a common road, a Humvee has an extra 43 inches or space, or nearly 2 feet on each side.
Knowing this, one could hardly say that a Humvee can't fit in a lane. Unless of course the drivers are simply idiots and these drivers appear to be. |
