Ok, if something like that had actually accelerated that quickly: 1) the toll on the bodies or matierials on or in the object would be put under tremendous stress, and 2) if the object had mass it would have created a sonic boom as it broke the sound barrier, and this video is silent except for the babble. |

couple things jump out
1) why over such an evocative monument
2) why only 4 vids so far (a week after the event) - maybe to gently keep up the hype...
Something's not right and the high level of realism screams not basement dwelling hoax. I'm thinking Hollywood viral.
Someone mentioned it before but there has been talk of 2 sequels to independence day. |

If you can try and pause it several times at the 32 second mark. It clearly shows the light bursts that emit from the craft light up the buildings faces exactly the same twice. Idk but if hoaxed thats some pretty bad ass software they got. |
