Wednesday, January 26, 2011 1:05:34 PM It would be great if the just flat out said he supported it, and if he would flat out be the "fierce advocate" of gay rights he said he was, but the fact is, this country is 50-50 when it comes to gay acceptance. Literally. Look at the polls, the gay marriage ballots, studies on what people think when it comes to homosexuality being acceptable. It's basically split down the middle, with a SLIGHT edge to the pro-gay side. Until that edge become more than a small one, and until that edge is strong and not wavering support, he's not going to risk going all out for gay rights. We see that conservatives essentially are doing anything and everything to eliminate any gay accepting thing in the US, and Obama would be right on their radar. It's sad, but it's the country we live in. |

Wednesday, January 26, 2011 1:01:49 PM Obama is for same-sex marriage and is essentially playing this game of non-commitment so as to appear as middle-of-the-road as possible. It's all politics people. |

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 11:11:38 PM "If someone can honestly give me any evidence that Obama has actually done something I would be greatful." He went on a lot of trips. I figure that the more time he spends away from Washington, the better off we are. |

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 10:51:57 PM I would like to ask everyone this....what has Barack Obama done in office? The only thing I have seen him do that sets him apart from what any other president would do is Obamacare and personally I believe it is unconstitutional. If someone can honestly give me any evidence that Obama has actually done something I would be greatful....And I would also like to ask if anyone still believes that Obama deserved the Nobel prize now seeing all that he has done. |

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 10:07:01 PM I really think obama has been one of the most effective presidents we've had. Especially in the past year |

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 6:49:18 PM People are just enraged that Obama didn't wave his magical cxck and make everything late 90s again. But he did get us out of a recession, he is fixing things to the best of his abilities (which is getting harder what with the opposing congress) |

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 6:30:45 PM JUGGALETTEx0, if someone gets called a racist for simply not agreeing with a person, that is ridiculous. However, I don't doubt that for some people, race is a factor. madest, I would obviously prefer that everyone voted for Obama. I'm just done with this whole "He didn't keep his promises" thing. It's just inaccurate to the point of being wilfully ignorant. |

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 5:57:56 PM @madest Yea, you got me. I just saw James Brady on the screen. I don't follow/care about the speaker of the house enough to learn his name. On the other point you made, you completely lost what I said. He has the right to his opinion, whether you and I agree with it is uncontroversial. He has the right to believe what he wants to believe. Will he lie about it? Sure. But, if I am understanding you right, you want him to lie about it to support your opinion. I personally would rather him just tell us how he truly feels, rather than what people want him to feel. |

Tuesday, January 25, 2011 5:42:29 PM I'm not going to say Obama is right or wrong, or that he backtracked or that he didn't. It is, however, possible, that people's opinions/beliefs changes with time. I used to be a Sunday School Teacher, now I'm an Agnostic. People change, so do their beliefs. |
