Saturday, January 22, 2011 6:42:34 PM Holy crap they need to stop generalizing. If all American people are blind and picture a friendly, neighborhood fireman-esque soldier in Iraq going around helping people, then all Chinese people are myopic, condescending brats. Also that comment that the dude made around 3:00 made me laugh. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 6:03:45 PM notice how hypocritical they are with their cultural relativism. If it's the US doing something in another country, it's violating other people's right to "do their own thing". If China does something in other countries, it's China's right to "do their own thing". These are some obviously very bright people with some extremely ignorant opinions. Just a sign of the brainwashed political apologetics (though I don't think those opinions are necessarily their own, if you notice how they all squirmed in their seats when "freedom of speech" was mentioned). What really bothered me was when she butchered Churchill's quote "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others" to somehow be conveying relativism, when it is clearly intentioned to mean the opposite (you might not like democracy, but it's better than your sh*tty government). |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 5:38:21 PM You know those times where your out at a club, and some guy is roughing up his girlie, so you step up and try to play the hero only to have her start screaming and scratching at you? That's the US perspective on foreign 'dictatorships'. The States never really learn now do they? Notice how I didn't call the US 'America'? Because the entire continent is America. It's actually the US of A and as a NORTH AMERICAN, I tend to find it a bit annoying. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 5:21:01 PM Personally I think that China and America both have problems, and that America only looks worse on occasion because it's more willing to admit its flaws. But then I'm English, what would I know about superpowers? |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 5:17:09 PM "U know, we would not get involved in other countries affairs if 1) they were not a threat to us. and 2) they were not a threat to another nation." iraq (or whoever it is we are at war with) is a threat to us and other nations? |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 5:01:34 PM I agree somewhat with these kids. We should not give a rat's ass about oppressed countries. We are always in the middle, and everyone hates the guy in the middle. Revolution has to come from with in the source of oppression. Lesson such from our own rise against the British. However these kids apparently don't understand gratitude. If their were not other examples of democratic capitalistic governments. China would still be under the torment of the Cultural Revolution sans Mao. Tell them to spend a few hours with the Peoples Police in prison. Where your guilty until proved innocent. Take away their wealth. Put them on a dirt farm, and live like the other peasants in their country, and see what Chinese righteousness is. Young, dumb and full of ... |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 4:47:09 PM Wow,,, They just said that YES they support communism because it is the best thing for them right now.. I am glad she lives in imaginary land where not having any freedom of speech or to elect their leaders, does not bother her. Being a woman in China, She does not realise how likely it would have been for her to be aborted because of her gender... I guess that forced abortion thing is just another thing she BAAAH agrees with. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 4:46:05 PM Seems like they mostly just talked about China. But I agree with what they said in the beginning, that we get too involved in other country's affairs. We should just focus on our own problems. I also like what that one girl said, "as an individual, how can you judge me by my government?" Well put. |
