in china they have daily 'politics' lessons, in this class they learn about how America is the devil and other anti-west propaganda.
in china there is no freedom of press and all the news is vetted by the government.
these students seem very intelligent but a little naive and brain washed. |

@lingh0e Anyone on this continent north of the equator is a NORTH AMERICAN and to the south is SOUTH AMERICA. That means Canadians, are Americans, Guatemalans are Americans, hell even Peruvians are Americans. Just because you incorporate it into your country's name, doesn't mean you're the only Americans on the planet. The only reason people call you American is because United Statian sounds moronic, and frankly the only people who refer to the US as 'America' are Americans.

Also you have to keep in mind that these people are a minority within that society. They're obviously very well educated and probably also wealthy. If you had the chance to ask a lower class individual about what they think about their homeland, they would probably say different things. This applies to people in America as well. |

that video did not convey the perspective that the caption led me to originally believe. those students were smart and had intelligent answers, and none of the questions asked led them to say anything about people in the US being "pigs". they said that people in the US are naive (alot are) but people in china are naive as well... all people in the world are naive. they are just comfortable with what they have grown up with, as are we, and they do have a point, we should not be going into other countries to try and "fix" them. we need to fix us. |

O my god. Those students are smarter than most americans. Definatly smarter than almost all of the others on this site based on some comments. And just think about it. They're speaking English (probobly the second or third language they learned) so well that they don't even need subtitles. Thats better than alot of reality tv shows and interveiws with people who barly know ONE language. And their veiw of Americans is almost flawless with some polotics more well thought out than either of the two main parties in the US. I realy enjoyed this. Thank you Volsunga. |
