Tuesday, January 25, 2011 1:02:55 PM Comparing social policy to cooking in a convenient analogy is intellectually lazy and probably misleading. |

Sunday, January 23, 2011 6:01:05 PM "Melting pots are good, and to your cartoon Gerry about people getting burned its just because your not stirring the melting pot that causes burning. If you drop dark chocolate and white chocolate into a pot they will melt and slowly comingle, but whoever is on the bottom will get burned and the mixture will never be homogenous. You stire that pot and get all the different types mixing together then you acheive both a homogeneous mixture and all at the same tempuature with out stuff burning." problem is that the person who is supposed to be stiring the pot always seems to fall asleep on the sofa with a lit cig and a keg of leaking Capt Morgan... sooner or later everything burns. |

Sunday, January 23, 2011 3:45:35 PM Gerry, I remember hearing from somewhere that the Mexican college student was also gay. No, seriously. And: "Dream of better lives, the kind which never hate. Trapped in a state of imaginary grace. I made a pilgrimage to save this human race, never comprehending the race had long gone by." "I'll stop the world and melt with you You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time. There's nothing you and I won't do, I'll stop the world and melt with you." Modern English (How I do loves de 80's). |

Sunday, January 23, 2011 7:03:57 AM @joemamma: Yes. It really wasn't that long ago that America was a largely segregated society. |

Sunday, January 23, 2011 12:00:03 AM ... I couldn't care less that I'm a Canadian. It means nothing to me, short of lines on a map. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 11:58:13 PM People are people, forget about colour, or race, or creed. You might as well forget about country while you're at it. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 11:23:22 PM Amen, brother. This is entirely about why I reject religion in all its forms... It's just another layer of artificial tribalism (and believe me, it's entirely artificial) to separate us from one another. People are people, forget about colour, or race, or creed. Yes, I know that's simplistic, but f*ck me gently, we're very good as a species at making things more complicated than they need to be. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 7:58:53 PM "why would he think like that?" he might have been considering his audience; the people who do think like that and he would most like this message to reach. |
