Monday, January 24, 2011 11:45:43 AM "love it, kids do wrong and someone else get the blame. great message society's sending there" Um...how exactly would you handle this situation, then? Should the children (7 year olds, mind you) be punished? I hope you don't have kids. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 4:38:07 PM @Chimmeychang I agree with you 100%. I am acctually in awe how right you are. Thankyou for showing me that people can acctualy think about that the PARENTS are responsible for the childs phisical, emotional and mental development and the only ones to blame are them. Not the media, not the teacher, not other kids, THE PARENTS. The proof is right in front of us. The millions of normal, well adjusted kids are all the proof that we should need but people just want to push blame onto others. And so you all know, this problem isn't any worse now thant it was 20 years ago, or even 50 years ago. The diffrence is that more people learn about thise instances than ever before and with the schools getting bigger theres a higher chance of two of these type of kids being in the same class room. Now dont ge me wrong, its the teacher's fault too but not entirly or even mostly. Please do the world a favor and think about it all for a minute. Again thankyou Chimmeychang |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 12:18:23 PM as long as parents fight sex education in kindergarten, it is the parents responsibility to teach them about sexual behavior, not the schools. Sure any responsible adult would have stopped the actions as soon as they were aware... but should not be held accountable for the actions of the children(unless they instigated it, in which case we have laws against that)Bottom line is, people need to be responsible for their kids, or not...no hiding behind whats on tv, or what they teach in schools. It is YOUR JOB AS A PARENT to either keep them away from this stuff, or educate them about it. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 12:01:33 PM the children don't know any better? I'm pretty sure by second grade kids know that you can't take your clothes off in public and be doing... um.. "mommy and daddy things" Looks to me like bad parenting played a roll here. |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 10:50:29 AM Has anyone actually looked at the comments in the provided link? Wow, the nutjobs have really come out in a frenzy. The reality is this is an isolated incident caused by two factors: 1) Parents not doing their job, and 2) A pedophile basically standing by and watching instead of doing the only legally justifiable thing: Intervening. Parents simply have no desire to talk to their kids about sex. This is the root cause of incidents like these. Parents are responsible for equipping their children with the knowledge of appropriate versus inappropriate behavior. We live in a changing world. No longer can parents expect their 6, 7, 8 year old children to remain unexposed to sex. We live in a world of iPads, several PCs per home, internet at school, cell phones, etc. Parents trying to sterilize their children's lives are fighting a losing battle. The ONLY correct response by parents is to start teaching their kids the rights/wrongs about sex at an earlier age. When they don' |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 9:42:35 AM wow. I had to look up how old a second grader is (7-8) and just wow! Part of me is thinking it COULD be a lack of supervision from the teacher - I mean in our class at that age there were parts of the classroom a teacher could not see while sitting in other parts.. but they didn't say whether the teacher was watching... hmmm But yeah, if watching... wrong wrong wrong! ____________ But another part of me agrees with Commentator below - sorry girls! For the record though, this is just WRONG! |

Saturday, January 22, 2011 9:34:03 AM These children should not be villainized because it is up to the adults to teach proper social etiquette. Kids at that age naturally play sexual games with each other and it's totally normal and for the most part harmless. They should not be made to feel ashamed. I want to know: how many children are in this classroom? With teacher layoffs, class size is getting bigger and bigger. But in any case, it would be hard not to notice naked children in your care. The teacher should be jailed if that's the case. |
