But @davymid: all the info you get on Palin comes FROM the MSM, unless you watch videos, uncut, or attend he speaches personally.
Thus the MSM 'decides' FOR YOU what you see:
Palin makes a great speach full of facts and convinving arguements.
MSM: not newsworthy 0% coverage
Palin mis-speaks and says "north" insted of "south"

like yourself and most other liberals, I'm pretty sure that canadian/ european exposure to sarah palin and most other american politics is completely limited to the opinions of people like jon stewart and stephen colbert. I know you and your kin have a hard time differentiating between intelligent insight and comedy but there you have it.
Oh Eric. Dear Eric. While you rail against liberals, europeans and canadians (I happen to be all three), please understand that we don't form our opinions on Palin from the media, nor from comedians. We are quite capable of listening to her, first hand, and coming to our own conclusions. Personally, I think she's a vapid bint, who would drive the world into a pit were she in charge. And yes, some of us are rational intelligent adults who are actually capable of forming our own opinions on world leaders. Hell, I've never even drank Kool-Aid. Heard of it, never tasted it or even been offered some.

@EricWRN I'm going to have to veto that nazi flame award. The comparison was not a godwin. The fact that the ultimate evil villain of the past 100 years is in fact Hitler allows his comment in the context of his statement.
It should be noted that while the Hitler comparison should be used with caution, as to avoid the Godwin, it is a valid argument when there is sufficient context (e.g. in the use of ww2, or when attempting hyperbole).
As a sub-note, who else could he put in the role of Hitler? Vlad the impaler's been romanticized by Stoker, Genghis Khan was badass, folks may not immediately recognize McVeigh or Kaczynski. Perhaps Satan, but the invocation of a historical figure trumps that of a mythical one.

Neither did "Joe The Plumber" all HE did was ask an honest question. The MSM SCOURED the Earth to find dirt on him! The liberals actually violated laws to "expose" him. BUT the MSM avoided even mentioning Ayers... ever! Or several other communists, crack-pots and loonies Obama used to hang around with. Not in his "teens" either; I mean after graduation.

I know you think at best sarah palin is a self promoting Ignoramus and at worst a shameless media troll who will abuse any platform to deliver dog whistle encouragement to a far right base that may include possible insurrectionists. I know you think her reality show was pathetically unstatesmanlike and at the same time I know you believe it represents the pinnacle of her potential. And that her transparent desperation to be a celebrity so completely eclipsed her interest in public service so long ago that there would be more journalistic integrity in reporting on one of the lesser Kardiashians a.ss implants. |

besides, that was just a joke, i still don't have any respect for sarah palin, i was being dramatic, though the fact that she's SO hated by uneducated and ignorant leftist sheep makes me WANT to like her. Somebody said it earlier and I have to completely agree that the only reason she's still around is the attention she gets from the left. I am totally disinterested in her and I wish she would go the hell away. |

Yes The Onion is funny, and I laugh at most of their vids, they're far more balanced than the MSM. One does get tired of the unending stream of hatred directed at Sarah, at her family and at the "right wing" in general. |
