Friday, January 21, 2011 5:58:32 PM Now it'll take you twice as long to open your locks, quadruple that for someone who's drunk |

Friday, January 21, 2011 3:36:36 AM And while on the subject of texting and being drunk, a company here in Sweden just released a new system that lets you pay your bar bill with an SMS. The cost just turns up on your phone bill. Epic possibilities for huge debt! |

Thursday, January 20, 2011 11:23:12 PM Looks like absolute crap that will fall apart if anyone slams the door. I hate this innovation. |

Thursday, January 20, 2011 3:52:08 PM Looks like a hack! The creator of that lock hacked a remote control lock. Somebody might hack the lock for fun but not for stealing stuff. he better install a sensor just in case he needs to manually lock or unlock it. That server needs to be able to keep records. |

Thursday, January 20, 2011 2:24:12 PM this is actually really cool. if you are away from home and you forgot to lock the door, you can text it to lock and youll be fine. and when there is a power outage, you can probably still use the key. |

Thursday, January 20, 2011 11:59:39 AM Would be much more convenient if the door opened and closed itself along with the lock. |

Thursday, January 20, 2011 11:36:53 AM Hackable? Probably. Not much risk tho. Convenient? Yes. Sure. Points for that. Not a bad idea. But can you still open that door with a key? If not, you're forcing everyone who uses it to get a phone. Texting takes a while - longer than unlocking I think, since you have to specify where you're sending the text. It would be better to keep the mechanism, but instead just have it detect you approaching. |

Thursday, January 20, 2011 11:12:02 AM 5Cats, it would be possible to have all the circuitry inside the door locking mechanism so no wires would show. |
