Thursday, January 20, 2011 2:00:58 PM "Howard is trying so hard for everyone to remember him. Poor guy. I wonder what he loks like without the wig. I think like the old pervert he is but I'm just guessing." Yea well if he was so unpopular no one would have signed him to do radio. Howard Stern has made 500$ million for having been on Sirius Satellite and is on the verge of signing a 3 year 600$ million contract with Apple Itunes. He's not holding up a sign saying "will do radio for peanuts" in front of every radio station in the country. Yea, you are right he is trying too hard to be recognized. In addition, before any of this he has had countless battles with the FCC and was fined numerous times. He has changed radio forever. |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 5:29:19 PM @auburnjunky Unfortunatly my own dad is one of those few hundred. He even hooked up a serious radeo in his car for half a thousand dollers because he couldn't go 20 minutes without his Howard. |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 5:21:55 PM Both shows suck, but Jay Leno actually has some really awesome old cars and machines. Plus he's 1/5 as ugly. Jay Leno > Howard Stern |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 5:21:16 PM Can someone identify what happenned with Leno and Conan O'Brien for those of us living under a rock...? What I'm gathering from information on the internet is that Leno left the Tonight Show to Conan, only to steal it back again? |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 3:16:37 PM Who cares what Stern says? No one listens him anymore, so now he feels the need for attention. |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 3:06:34 PM Back in the day the only reason I sat through Leno was because Conan came on right afterward. Ah, all the sleep I had to make up in first period classes XD |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 1:44:12 PM AWWWWWWWWWW AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Burnt. "Before the Sirius XM merger "Daily News" writer David Hinckley reported that "Arbitron has released its first-ever ratings for XM and Sirius, covering April-June 2007, and they show that in an average week, 1,225,000 listeners at some point heard Stern." That's the TOTAL for the week, so at any given moment, Stern has maybe a few hundred thousand listeners. Anyway you look at it, that's a sorry ratings number for the former terrestrial radio god. Linkety Link. |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 1:36:10 PM That says 15million in a week. That's only 3mil a day. Chump change by Howard Stern standards besides it's not what I was saying. Wouldn't expect a Limbaugh listener to read and comprehend English. |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 1:03:38 PM [The total listenership for terrestrial radio in the year 2005 was 230 million. Sirius XM Radio has a base of 18.5 million subscribers as of 2009. American Top 40 attracts over 20 million listeners per week. Rush Limbaugh's show has been the number one commercial talk show since at least 1991 when record keeping began. NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered are the two most popular news programs."> Seems American Top-40 is #1. |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 12:39:17 PM @AJ. No where in what I wrote did I say today. We're living in a different world where many different options to radio exist. When there was just radio, Howard was number 1. He took 7+ million with him to satellite. |

Wednesday, January 19, 2011 12:32:12 PM How many years ago soulsender? Also, Satellite Radio get 1 automatic subscriber every time someone buys a car with it equipped. It skews the numbers. I don't support Rush, but to say Stern has any sort of dominance in terrestrial radio anymore is just absurd. |
