Yea well if he was so unpopular no one would have signed him to do radio. Howard Stern has made 500$ million for having been on Sirius Satellite and is on the verge of signing a 3 year 600$ million contract with Apple Itunes. He's not holding up a sign saying "will do radio for peanuts" in front of every radio station in the country. Yea, you are right he is trying too hard to be recognized. In addition, before any of this he has had countless battles with the FCC and was fined numerous times. He has changed radio forever. |

@auburnjunky Unfortunatly my own dad is one of those few hundred. He even hooked up a serious radeo in his car for half a thousand dollers because he couldn't go 20 minutes without his Howard. |

Both shows suck, but Jay Leno actually has some really awesome old cars and machines. Plus he's 1/5 as ugly.

"Before the Sirius XM merger "Daily News" writer David Hinckley reported that "Arbitron has released its first-ever ratings for XM and Sirius, covering April-June 2007, and they show that in an average week, 1,225,000 listeners at some point heard Stern." That's the TOTAL for the week, so at any given moment, Stern has maybe a few hundred thousand listeners. Anyway you look at it, that's a sorry ratings number for the former terrestrial radio god.

That says 15million in a week. That's only 3mil a day. Chump change by Howard Stern standards besides it's not what I was saying. Wouldn't expect a Limbaugh listener to read and comprehend English. |

@AJ. No where in what I wrote did I say today. We're living in a different world where many different options to radio exist. When there was just
radio, Howard was number 1. He took 7+ million with him to satellite. |

Also, Satellite Radio get 1 automatic subscriber every time someone buys a car with it equipped. It skews the numbers.
I don't support Rush, but to say Stern has any sort of dominance in terrestrial radio anymore is just absurd. |
