Monday, January 17, 2011 7:29:30 PM around 8:50, it sounds like hes stuttering in his speech, but its actually him planting subtle verbal hints - people like him dont make mistakes - sounded a bit like the letter 'R' to me which may be for the final trick? |

Monday, January 17, 2011 12:56:03 PM The voodoo trick is actually kinda easy, he is using a bit of string to give the girl the 'tickling sensation' when hes waving his hand about her and because she has her eyes closed, she doesn't actually know when he is touching the guy. So while hes fondling the guy up she is waiting for when the magician wants to know where she felt the sensation. |

Monday, January 17, 2011 12:23:26 PM @Gerry1of1 The hood is see through enough to be able to drive but the blindfold underneath prevented the girl from knowing that. The magician only needs to do something to the sunglasses. We can't see them because the hood hides them from us. He has several options. I won't spoil the whole trick. |

Monday, January 17, 2011 11:51:06 AM I started this up expecting somebody to do a talk about tricking people. Instead he just did a bunch of magic tricks. |

Monday, January 17, 2011 5:08:40 AM A little too long for IAB? Fancy why must you insult your audience more than a Michael Bay film? |

Monday, January 17, 2011 4:39:52 AM I fail to see how this is TED related. He doesn't explain anything. I appreciate the magic, but it's the wrong venue. Also, everyone take a step back and remember it's an illusion. The man is not actually magical; we all know it's illusions. |

Monday, January 17, 2011 3:01:26 AM Any Irish person would recognise the girl in the car. She is a TV host here. Yet he claimed he did not know her. I know a way to achieve what he seemed to do which would depend on the hood being used as well as a blindfold. It appears to make the trick harder to do but in fact can make it easier. |

Monday, January 17, 2011 1:08:23 AM However, the coke bottle and the spike baffles me, though I'm sure there's a trick to it. I just don't know what it is. P: |

Monday, January 17, 2011 1:06:03 AM Whenever he was driving blind, the girl said "We're almost there." She was blindfolded. How would she have known that? |

Sunday, January 16, 2011 10:54:46 PM You know he touched that woman three times, than when she said "I felt like 3..." he interrupts her, and says "like a tingling feeling?" and she says "yeah!" because she believes him, not because that's what she actually felt. It's all suggestion. |

Sunday, January 16, 2011 10:53:01 PM the voodoo tricks were not actors. they are very simple to pull off. The only trick I'm not 100% sure about do is the nail trick. I mean, I could do it if it was my hand, but I would never put a spectators hand between mine and the nail. |

Sunday, January 16, 2011 9:10:32 PM well i know that when he did the first trick. he pointed at someone. then put his hands differently. so when he turned his arms they could be straight again and quickly arranged his fingers to be different as well. Dunno about the car, but the "voo doo" trick is clearly actors. the glass shard was some sort of chemical that combusted because it was shook around. i don't know the name of the material. the cup trick once again was an actor. all that was staged, he was instructed to set the cups a certain way. they would then be set back. They both knew the locations, he was nervous as poo, as would I, because in the back of my mind i would be like...I hope i didn't drat up, i hope i didn't drat up. |

Sunday, January 16, 2011 9:08:58 PM Cheezer- 'Watch his left leg from 11 mins in, hes clearly signalling for the lad to move his hand.' I saw that too, then had to go back and see if anyone else in the comments saw it... |

Sunday, January 16, 2011 9:06:08 PM kittilia- He kind of explained it all at the start :P We're very susceptible to influence whether we're aware of it or not and he's extremely good at it. See how he cold-read the ex's name in all of 15 seconds? He's very good. Highly entertaining to watch too. |
