I think somebody just pasted a Russian news clip over that very fake subway scene, which has been around for quite some time.

Can anyone translate what the woman is saying? Perhaps this is a Russian version of David Blaine?

@Thesphinx "This IS physically impossible. No amount of being pushed horizontally will ever make you move vertically. Especially not at that speed."

Technically jet engines move planes horizontally and the wings then generate lift due to their shape. A person is NOT shaped correctly for this to happen of course.

Also, lighter than air or ultralight craft would need only slow speeds to generate lift. Again NOT the case here.

I can think of a way this might work - if the train was suddenly in freefall.

> proof read please, cause that doesn;t even make sense. the guy didn;t even move vertically

He means there needs to be an upward force to counteract the downward force of gravity, which is true. No amount of horizontal force will allow you to hover in the air like this.

> The earth is round, not flat. Go review the diagram of a cannon firing a ball into orbit.

Are you saying this guy achieved a low-altitude orbit? With a fire extinguisher? At speeds I can run at?

Yea... it looks like a subway. In my defense, the reporter said street car. I think in Russia they're the same thing.

1. He's holding onto something that's keeping him up
2. It's not a subway, it's a streetcar.
