I hate everyone happier (and richer) than me. I highly doubt this 'happiness' for the pooches will last. They'll be abandoned when they aren't small anymore |

I can't imagine any of these dogs were given as complete surprises. There had to have been some kind of dialogue before Christmas. Not one of those people opened up the box and said, "Oh hey a puppy! I didn't ask for a puppy...but okay?"
Everyone wanted a puppy, and the gifters obviously knew that the giftees were ready for that responsibility.
In the case of kids, obviously the dogs were family gifts, and obviously the parents were prepared to take care of the dog because they bought the dog. No one gives a dog to three kids and expects the kids to take care of it. |

this reminds me when i got my pug mooshu. i burst into tears andstarted hugging him. mooshus 8 now and hes my best friend. i think when i get back from this vacation i'll take him to cold stone to get some ice cream, his fav. |

I'm not sure. Last time I used tape on the box I put it in, and it survived until they used a knife to open it.
So I'd recommend not using tape on the box. |

the only way i would ever give a puppy to someone is if i also had several hundred dollars to give for vet bills too... presents shouldn't cost you a ton of money in 6 months... |

aww cute...reminds me of when my sisters and I got a dalmation for christmas one year a long time ago...we named him Pongo...pretty fitting for a dalmation huh? lol. |
