@Gerry1of1: I think that women saying a man deserves to be stabbed for cheating would be just as wrong as men saying a woman deserved to be stabbed for cheating. It only looks like there is man-hating going on here because a woman was stabbed in this particular instance and some sick people in this thread are saying she deserved in, while others are rightfully pointing out that they are wrong. If a man got stabbed for cheating and women said he deserved it, I would be just as quick to criticize them. |

I've just finished watching a documentary series on the origins and development of civilisation (Ancient Worlds, BBC). A repeated theme was that although we tend to think of civilsation as being very strong, it's actually rather fragile. We casually assume our civilisation will continue. So did the Assyrians, Babylonians, Chaldeans, Greeks (1st time round), Greeks (again, after a dark age), Romans, etc, etc. We don't even know the names of some of the earlier civilisations, only names given to them much later.
