"the picture you guys froze at is supposed to be of Scorpions wife. If you guys remember the plot of Mortal Kombat, Sub-Zero killed her. That's why Scorpion killed him."
Didn't they change that story that it was actually Quan Chi that killed her and so Scorpion mistakenly murdered Sub-Zero (number 1) and then vowed to help his younger brother? |

Do not want.
I started playing MK back when it debuted on the SNES and always liked reading the lore, origin stories, and the endings when you won. The two movies made so far were terrible, and this one looks like it will be both terrible and non-canonical.
Why not actually delve into the backstories? Maybe actually plan a series of MK movies? Like one movie establishes the Sub-Zero/Scorpion feud and another goes into the past when Kung Lao prevented Shang Tsung from winning their tenth tournament in a row?

UPDATE: Looks like it's actually a movie. Well, a PITCH for a movie. Per Jeri Ryan (of Star Trek Voyager fame), who played Sonja Blade:
It's not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film. I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB's reaction to it was. And I'm not sure how you can contact WB...to push them to make it. |
