I'm 90% sure that this was rotoscoped. In the credits you see people listed as "dancers".
IAB changed the caption that I submitted.
All I wanted to get across is that animation can be so much more beautiful and simple than all these 3D graphics that have become so popular in movies.
And what I mean by "simple" is that it's 2D, there's no camera movement, and no colour. |

See I didn't get that he "left" her. I interpreted that the two were soul mates, but haven't met each other yet. Notice how when they came together she became the real one while he became a "ghost" of sorts. She cried because they came so close to finding each other but missed their chance again. |

thats some glen keane kinda professionalism. awesome. he must have used rotoscopy there, but the way he makes it flow naturally and mix it up with the abstract forms there its just mindblowing |

briirox may be correct though... I suspect rotoscoping. Doesn't make it any less amazing though. |
