Sunday, December 05, 2010 8:29:43 AM @skullgrin: Sure. However, a good portion of misspellings today have nothing to do with cultural differences and have everything to do with being lazy. |

Saturday, December 04, 2010 10:48:32 PM "But, when words are used by different cultures, different spellings arise. " hence..spelling doesnt matter.. spelling changes cant just arise....enough people spelled it wrong until it was acceptable |

His statistics is different in different languages. His counterexample just shows that the structure of the sentence helps a lot in anticipating the correct next word. 2. It's waaay more difficult when you are not a native speaker. |

Saturday, December 04, 2010 7:06:17 AM well i have seen this text in german before and german has much longer words than englisch, barely any three letter words and it was definitely readable. so i pretty much do not believe this video |

Friday, December 03, 2010 8:39:55 PM "If spelling was important there wouldn't be more than on way to spell certain words. gray/grey color/colour" No. If only a single, monolithic culture uses English, then there would be only a single spelling for a word. But, when words are used by different cultures, different spellings arise.

Friday, December 03, 2010 8:19:55 PM Also something he should have mentioned, was that all the words had the correct letters in them. If you don't know how to spell a word, you are more likely to add letters that are not needed, or take away those that are. |

Friday, December 03, 2010 4:13:49 PM oh gods Angel I'm going to kill you. And I would like to thank everyone who skeptically reads forwards, then refuses to pass them on because they are complete and utter b.s. Even though they will have 600 years of bad luck. Way to take one for the team I say. |
