A bullet you can't hide from, That seems ...Almost cruel.
I'm not saying that we shouldn't use to it's full advantages, I mean, it is war.
Though I'm not a soldier, I'm not that brave, I am a gamer, and I am familiar with cover tactics.
The idea of those tactics not working anymore, frankly, terrifies me.
Not from a video game standpoint, but from a human standpoint.
Should the weapon not be used? Of course it should be used, I wouldn't keep this out of soldier hands if it was my decision, but I would also like that soldier to fully understand what he is doing to the human being on the other side of that wall. |

I still think the automatic shotgun is cooler. Kind of disappointed it doesn't actually go round corners like the bullseye in Resistance lol.
I don't care that the Americans made it. Europeans have invented things just as capable of taking human life so why people are pointing the finger I don't know.
Reporter seemed like kind of a douche though... |

Thugs!!?? Pierre,Does everyone outside the U.S. think it is still the wild west? What kind of "thugs" would pay to try an get one of these, when they could order a multi or single shot 40MM grenade launcher from China, Africa, or Russia for about 50 bucks! Give our troops the best, and see what they can do with it..and if the "thugs" get one, then the 60% of the U.S. population that carries a gun would shoot their sorry asses before they figure out how to use the damn thing! If you prissy bitches allowed your people to own and bear arms you would understand. Plus, I want to own Bear arms, it would be cool.... |

@cartunze: Please see premierwondr's post. I would bet that's typical. Being 'familiar' with the 100-yard dash (from the Olympics no doubt) does not translate to being on the ground and and being able to point out something X number of meters away. That would be like saying most people know how far a kilometer is or how fast a kilometer/hour is. Not likely for the average person. |

Cool weapon, but I doubt it will win wars. The body-count approach to warfare is obsolete in this day and age. Still a handy tool though. |

what is with all the people upset about using "sports metaphors" to describe military actions?
first of all, the reporter used the "sports metaphor". so i guess your problem is really with free speech. and i guess you think that alluding to the length of a football field makes americans think war must be an athletic sport.

The interviewer was a toolbox. The gun is cool, but unless I am mistaken they indicated that it will hold only four rounds? The trick here is to make a firearm that uses Ammo that only we have access to. Pretty interesting setup. |

aibutcher, that is only Rick Sanchez that does that. He probably had a preinterview with the colonel and when told the range is 250 meters he asked "what does that mean in English?" And, no, Nettech98. This doesn't have to be dumbed down for the general population. People are aware of the 100 meter dash and can visualize 250 meters.
