Tuesday, November 23, 2010 1:30:47 AM Macs look nicer but I think they both perform the same. Reguardless I like PCs more. And what's wrong with the car on the left? I'd much rather drive that. |

Monday, November 15, 2010 4:06:56 AM I guess, comparing an apple to a lambo is a bit off though considering macs are usually a good bit behind in tech compared to pc's.. But I guess its more of a price comparison then a performance comparison so its mostly valid. |

Friday, November 12, 2010 2:43:48 PM This is more or less true. I still prefer Macs though. They just fit my needs better. |

Friday, November 12, 2010 1:51:18 PM @ Faberati I love this... Where do you get your stats? other than forum 'acer is poo' chit-chat? I bought an acer laptop in uni (6 years ago) and it's still running 24/7 today as my linux server. I bought an acer netbook last year, no issues. But yes, acer is poo Apple uses (almost exclusively) Foxconn in China. This company recently came under heat due to the large suicide rate at it's factory (some related directly to apple). It costs apple piss-all to make their products in relation to what they sell them to you for. Product cost is a completely valid argument... If it is not a factor in everything else you purchase in life, then you either have to much money, or are an idiot. Example. I need a PC for surfing the internet and checking e-mail. I can buy a used computer capable of these things for $50, or a used mac mini for $200 (1.4 GHz) all prices just pulled from my local craigslist and the cheapest. What reason can you honestly justify |

Thursday, November 11, 2010 8:09:10 PM @watbid We always told the same story about having Daniel Boone's ax. I've also use that story to describe old Frank (short for Frankenstein, which really doesn't quite make sense, since Frankenstein was the doctor, and my PC is more analogous to the monster, who never really had a name, which is more the pity, but that's another story). |

Thursday, November 11, 2010 3:34:16 PM Last 3 years I've gotten it repaired free. And everytime you get it done the warranty resets or something. I've broken my mac like 5 times. |

Thursday, November 11, 2010 1:41:34 PM I will say this: Buying really cheap name brand pc's aren't always the best of Ideas. Specifically, Acers suck. They may be better now, but they're notorious for hardware issues, bad support, bad build quality and low quality parts (display, keyboard, etc.). This can be attributed to shoddy workmanship when constructing, and shoddy workmanship when designing the cooling system and the chassis. And being cheap. On the other hand, Acer is now the worlds second largest PC maker. So yeah. |

Thursday, November 11, 2010 1:40:23 PM @Altaru If I were an idiot and that is what was causing the issues in my PCs then surely my idiocy would break the Macs aswell? I have no idea why you felt the need to insult my intelligence. At no point did I say that you couldn't keep using your PC, or that my choice was better/more correct than your choice. Mac's work better -FOR ME-. Yes, a PC has more options and more parts for customization but that is not what I want out of a computer. I get no enjoyment out of that. If that is what -YOU- want out of a computer then that's great. Build and customise your PC to your hearts desires and have a bloody good time doing it. Just don't call me an idiot for having my own, perfectly valid, opinion. Thanks. |

Thursday, November 11, 2010 12:47:58 PM I paid my mac mini less than 600€ euros, 3 years ago. it never crashes, it is fast and easy to use. You could get a PC with BETTER specs than your own Mac for the same price NOW. Just sayin'. I have had several Macs and many, many PCs in my life. Every single PC, without fail, has needed to be repaired several times and have parts replaced during it's lifetime, vastly increasing the "maintenance" cost of the machine. The fact is, the ONLY reason parts in a PC break down is because YOU'RE AN IDIOT. My family has used PC's all our lives, and the ONLY time we've had any "hardware failure" was when lightning struck our house and it burned out a fair amount of our tech. The only reason THAT happened was because we weren't using surge protectors. Not only that, but there's such a greater variety of parts you can use in a PC to make it YOURS, as opposed to a Mac which is basically just on loan to you fr |

Thursday, November 11, 2010 11:46:04 AM I think PC is better than a Mac. Why? I've had a PC for over 8 years without ANY problems whatsoever but when I got a Mac, it broke within the first 2 months. Also, the ONLY advantage the Mac had over the PC was that it could run 1080p vids at the cost of the Google homepage taking 20 seconds to load. |

Thursday, November 11, 2010 11:41:40 AM Well that's not true, you just need to buy the parts and do it yourself |

Thursday, November 11, 2010 11:22:58 AM Every one of these comments deserves a *Facepalm*. It all depends on taste, nobody cares if you think PCs are extremely unstable or that Macs are overpriced. |
