Monday, November 08, 2010 10:43:19 AM W. The previews made it look like an irreverent comedy about Bush, but it was pretty much a biography. I wouldn't really call it awful, but the preview set me up for disappointment. |

Sunday, November 07, 2010 1:07:58 PM Hancock. The trailer made it look like a hilarious comedy with Will Smith as an alcoholic, homeless, slacker superhero. It was funny for about 20 minutes, then it turned into this weird, messy drama thing about deities and power struggles and Charlize Theron being his special other half, or some crap. Terrible. |

Sunday, November 07, 2010 9:15:00 AM District-9 was misleading to me, it looked like an action movie where the aliens were fighting US soldiers with their mechs and hightech weapons. |

Sunday, November 07, 2010 5:06:36 AM I've seen the Fifth Element quite a few times. It's one of my favorite sci-fi flicks (go ahead and laugh, I'll laugh with you), but that was the first time I've ever seen a "trailer" for it. I have to agree: the trailer is deceiving. I like the movie because it was "so bad it's good", but that trailer just made it look awesome from the start. |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 10:44:55 PM There was a movie called "Man of the Year" with Robin Williams. It was advertised as being a comedy where a John Stewart-type comedian wins the presidential election. It was actually a drama about some horribly glitched voting machines and the woman who was being hunted down for trying to expose the cover-up. And Robin Williams was barely in it (I'm one of the people that likes Williams, so that was a big con for me.) |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 9:42:16 PM I loved In Bruges, but the trailer on that site was godawful. Every trailer, they do the same crappy effects - upbeat music which stops just in time for the punchline, that douchebag voiceover guy who I want to stab in the vocal chords... all the things that have been parodied expertly in South Park and on Cracked.com |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 9:38:39 PM Paranormal Activity did nothing for me. I didn't see the previews, though. A bunch of people at my college were like "ZOMG I CRAPPED MY PANTS WATCHING IT!" I actually WANTED something bad to happen to the guy. He annoyed me. I felt that Toy Story 3 had more suspense. And the creepy cymbal monkey haunts my dreams. |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 9:17:55 PM Bridge to Terabithia was the worst god damned movie I've ever seen. I thought Small Soldiers had a pretty misleading trailer. I thought all the soldiers would be good guys. |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 6:02:09 PM s4r4h, completely agree on paranormal activity which is why i refuse to watch the sequel. the first one was so boring that the only jump and scream in a full ass theater came form one girl in the front row at the very end of the movie. everyone else just laughed at her as she walked out embarrassed and giggling. |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 5:57:39 PM The first kick ass trailer I saw was the one where hit girl was introduced, so I knew exactly what to expect. And it delivered. About the list: I went in, expecting it to be full of films that sucked, but had very good trailers. Instead it was a list of several good movies (and some meh), with misleading trailers. |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 5:14:06 PM Sorry to comment again. No one said anything about Paranormal Activity. The trailer showed a pretty decent semi-scary looking movie. The actual movie was just watching people sleep the whole time until the end which they put in the trailer. |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 5:10:56 PM @ToshSucksO I thought the Kick Ass trailer gave enough away to catch the eye of the viewer but also kept enough away from the viewer for them to enjoy the movie. I hate it when I see a trailer and it shows me everything that is going to happen in the movie, it wrecks it for me. Anyway, I absolutely adore Kick Ass, it is definitely one of the best movies to come out in a long time in my opinion. |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 3:59:59 PM No KickAss? The trailer (and the name) led me to believe it would be a funny movie, made up of what would happen if there was a super hero in real life. With teen-level jokes every 2 seconds throughtout the entire movie. I was expecting something similar to A Superhero Movie. And yes, the first third of the film was exactly what was to be expected, then out of no where, a completely serious stabbing happened, and my mind went "OK, so maybe they're switching to what would ACTUALLY happen, including serious consequences" But then, we get this off the wall completely unreal little girl and the movie turns into a completely serious movie with tear jerking moments. It gets INTENSE! The last half of the movie was almost opposite what the trailer said it was. But it was still one of my favorite movies EVER! |

Saturday, November 06, 2010 3:58:11 PM and Lblaxplaya20, totally agree on Kickass. I thought it was going to be a corny piece of crap and didn't even bother to plan on watching it. Luckily my mom called and told me how awesome it was so I watched it and just remembered thinking "why would you have a trailer that makes your movie seem pooty when it's the exact opposite?" |
