As for Obama being Keynesian I believe he is with this talk about investing in infrastructure much of the time. Keynesian economics gave us the interstate highways and Hoover damn, but it also gave us the military industrial complex. Hitlers use of Keynesian economic principals built Nazi Germany's war machine. Keynesian economics can easily create a militaristic society because often times military give the higher returns on public investment. Once the weapons are built they have to be used to keep the investment going. It is almost like a drug addiction but for governments, and results in many dead people. |

All this video really proves is that they found some people who didn't know what they were being asked. I bet they targeted uninformed-looking people. And they probably found people that DID know who John Keynes is, but their responses would have made the video less funny |

Honestly, how many people know enough about economics to recognize that word? 1% of the general population? 2%? I see this as exploiting a reasonable ignorance, not a willful or harmful ignorance.
They may not know what Keynesian means (I didn't until I Googled it earlier) but they should still recognise that it isn't the same word as Kenyan. |

@Boomersooner, I promise you that it is not just limited to America. People are just generally stupid when it comes to politics.
That is why our Prime Minister convinced everyone it was his 'Decision' to go with the EU on prisoner voting, he HAS to, EU Law overrides British Law.
This video just points out how important it is to teach Politics in school. |
