Tuesday, November 02, 2010 12:57:33 AM postcount on a site trying to alleviate boredom isn't exactly something to brag about. Probability(user needs something to do with his/her life) = postcount/(days since becoming a member) * (1 + age of poster/100). From his profile, he's been a member for about 759 days and is 18-29 years old (let's take the average of that being 23 years) so P = 9067/759 * 1.23 = 1469% chance that Faninja01 needs a life. |

Tuesday, November 02, 2010 12:54:33 AM I like this. They're not over selling themselves and they seem realistic with their expectations. Better to go for a little progress every year then a whole bunch at once and mess things up! |

Tuesday, November 02, 2010 12:36:58 AM @xavroche I think I could totally live without Fatninja's comments. They're not even thoughtful. Their focus is to up his post count and not anything else. Drives me nuts. D< |

Monday, November 01, 2010 9:27:34 PM "wut fatninja is annoying me. i hang around iab atleast as much as him and have been for a longer time, but his postrate is way high.... because he just keeps saying stuff like "haha wouldn't want to be that guy" and "wow lols at the fail!" or "that must have hurt a lot" YOU AINT GOT NO PANCAKE MIX!!!!" Don't hate, Fatninja's one liner in every link is basically the greatest constant in my life. As useless as some of them are (no offense) I feel like if they stopped I might have to shave my head, take a vow of silence, and rethink the meaning of human existence.... |

Monday, November 01, 2010 8:55:55 PM I still laugh at the difference between eastern and western PA. They feel like 2 completely different worlds and are only like 6 hours apart. |

Monday, November 01, 2010 8:26:32 PM Still better than a whole lot of the schools in Arizona - most of them have a long way to go to reach "adequate" in anything.

Monday, November 01, 2010 7:20:44 PM "Mahaloth....this is in Pennsylvania. Do you learn about geography in Michigan?" I learned geography in Michigan and I can draw a world map from memory and label almost every country (excluding a few island nations). Thanks for discriminating. |

Monday, November 01, 2010 2:45:46 PM Adequate yearly progress in 2007, the retention rate was acceptable, standardized testing was about par for the course, the sports teams did ok, the marching band did a reasonably good job at the parade... |

Monday, November 01, 2010 2:25:22 PM Adequate Yearly Progress is a term used by the state of Michigan for schools that are doing well. It is a term that is filled with government language, but is actually quite impressive. |

Monday, November 01, 2010 2:16:17 PM As I've grown up, my ambitions and expectations of myself have gone from a gleaming pillar of society to just wanting to pass my classes and get my damn degree already so I can get a job, buy a gun and shoot myself in the head. It's life. At least Constitution isn't all jaded about it yet. Way to go guys. |

Monday, November 01, 2010 2:14:10 PM Adequate is adequate. That's what it means. There's no point pretending that everyone and everything can be superb. Adequate progress is exactly what should be aimed for because if it's defined correctly then it's an achievable and sustainable improvement. Besides, we don't know what the goals are, what degree of progress is deemed adequate and what situation the school was in before. We don't even know if this is a real school. |
