Monday, October 25, 2010 6:37:37 PM Um, to be honest, I don't see how this explains catholicism. Am I missing something? Oh, and Rick S--thank you, I had no idea what that meant and almost resorted to looking it up in urban dictionary. |

Monday, October 25, 2010 1:00:03 AM @LastJuggalo Here's some differences between science and religion. 1) Science is based upon observable facts 2) It isn't dogmatic and tell you how you MUST live. |

Sunday, October 24, 2010 9:35:04 AM @lastjuggalo. preaching doesnt mean you're religious (i checked, google it) and you probably know lots of atheists that you dont know are atheists because they dont "preach" |

Sunday, October 24, 2010 7:09:10 AM Dude, it's just the Pope with a solid gold bible. Why must we discuss it? Like God really cares about his bling-bling, anyway . . . (insert Science for u Atheists). And unfortunately, I can kinda see why we could call Atheism (sp?) a religion. Athesits do tend to PREACH their beliefs, at least all the ones I know. And WTF does TLDR mean? |

Sunday, October 24, 2010 1:40:16 AM @davymid being a former one myself. If you visit the website. Why would an atheist need a chaplain for support? Why not his commanding officer or some Psyche officer etc....? If your not religious then you don't need a chaplain. Nice try but the website that almightybob1 gave indicates a need for some guidance from a theist. Also religion does not limit itself toward a theist involvement. It also defines religion as a set of 3 archaic : scrupulous conformity : conscientiousness 4: a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith That means when you look up conscientiousness that means you are governed by or conforming to the dictates of conscience. Want to break down conscience too? Therefore atheist are religious. It's the fact that they don't believe in deities. You may not like the label but it's a fact. You are religious no matter what. Your hobby is your religion because it is the norm in your life that giv |

Sunday, October 24, 2010 12:49:33 AM Great. Just great. You guys are so busy piss-contesting that the explanation of TLDR isn't in the top 5 comments. Now I have to look it up. Damn you. |

Sunday, October 24, 2010 12:33:20 AM Just goes to show atheist are religious. Nice try. I'm an atheist, and I'm religious in the same way as my NOT playing "Football" (American? Soccer? Canadian? Australian rules? What version of football that I don't play are we talking about here?) is my f*cking hobby. |

Saturday, October 23, 2010 6:22:02 PM @almightybob1 Interesting website there bub. Didn't know an atheist needs a chaplain too look after their needs? Kind of a contradiction there huh? Why not just need a commanding officer who specializes in Psychology? What a bunch of bull. Just goes to show atheist are religious. |

Saturday, October 23, 2010 6:15:49 PM @alimightybob1 I never did. The first words out of their mouth in a fire fight usually was "Oh my fu*king God get me out of this poo". The after the got out of the sh*t. Then they went to be the unbelieving dicks they were. Usually drinking drug use, and trying to get laid. Usually the pattern ask God then bitch and make trouble. Not all mind you but the majority I encountered. |

Saturday, October 23, 2010 1:04:12 PM @belunan There's no better way to turn a person atheist than to make them study all the world's religions. |

Saturday, October 23, 2010 12:57:11 PM "Maybe Atheists study religion so much because they want to know who to pray to right before they die." Or maybe, in a moment of lucidity, they realize the religion they were raised in is thoroughly batpoo crazy. Then they go religion shopping to see if any religion makes sense but the end result of their search is that they learn enough about other religions to realize that *all* religions are batpoo crazy. Or maybe that's just me. |

Saturday, October 23, 2010 10:32:51 AM @Xavroche Yes, this is funny. Don't get offended, you're on a freakin' comedic site protecting your religion. Also, I should hope that a person would know their own religious doctrine before declaring themselves apart of it, as far-fetched as that might be. |

Saturday, October 23, 2010 9:45:54 AM 1)This isn't funny. If you are going to bash religion, again, maybe you could do it in a clever way. 2)I highly doubt that that particular Bible has anywhere near the value to feed an entire continent other than Antarctica for a week, and regardless your comment is a total non sequitur. 3)I've read the entire Bible, I know a fairly high number of people at my church who have read the entire bible. The Bible doesn't make you an atheist... it doesn't make you anything that you don't want it to... It isn't that uncommon amongst Christians to have read the Bible. If anything (as in if you aren't religious) the Bible is at the very least a literary text that is frequently referenced, so I would assume anyone with a minimal thirst for knowledge would have a working notion of it or would have read it. 4)Pope Benedict is Palpatine... good thing I'm not a Catholic. 5)Why do these boards make me lose the game about once a week? |
