Wednesday, October 20, 2010 12:58:06 PM For more than ten years, i have been working in different types of factories, that manufactures everything from packed food to mechanical products. Most of it has been with computer controlled machines like this, constructed by experienced, german, italian, finnish etc. engineers and what they create is stuff like this. And even they have a really hard time to keep it functioning properly... hehe. So this is impressive |

Wednesday, October 20, 2010 11:27:44 AM Wow, that is pretty sick. The legos are actually feed by the grey tower on the right side of the printer. Watch Crucible's video. |

Wednesday, October 20, 2010 9:23:03 AM Jib asked: Where did the lego bricks come from? Good point. I think this whole thing is stop motion photography. The bricks are hand fed individually between shots. The little guy at the end wasn't the only thing being done in stop motion. |

Tuesday, October 19, 2010 7:03:55 PM Too bad you have to fast-forward the space-time continuum to get results with any meaningful speed. |

Tuesday, October 19, 2010 5:49:44 PM @shappy look up the reprap project. The goal is to make a self-replicating machine using 3d printers like this. |

Tuesday, October 19, 2010 3:48:25 PM ~2minutes @ 16x speed = roughly 32 minutes of this machine building. Cool as it is, the machine is slow. And yet I am so intrigued by it all :) |
