Heres the street view
If you look closely, the cross street it shows is called buckhorn, if u look at the picture, thats what it says too, the only thing is, in street view, the stop sign and the street sign are seperate, but in the picture, theyre together, but this is definately the place |

There is a Village near the town of Sandwich in England (yes, where the name for meat between bread comes from), called Ham. There used to be a signpost on the Deal-Sandwich road that said "Ham Sandwich". Wonder if it is still there. |

I'd like to live on Lord Hereford's Knob.
No 'shopping on that one, it's a genuine place name in Britain. No houses on it, though.
Looking at medieval English maps and records is an eye opener. There was a tendency towards very bluntly direct naming of things, full of words IAB won't allow in comments. Got a small river in the town that people use as a sewer? poobrook. A road full of brothels? Gropemean person Lane. |
