"Republic" is not a political party, it is the system used in the USA where the paper comes from. Even though many idiots here think this is a democracy because they don't know the difference.

It's not necessarily politics. It's a newspaper name. There are newspapers called the Fartville Republican and the Gassyville Democrat that have nothing to do with the current political parties - just popular newspaper names in times past. |
