I don't know why people get so offended by music. When a gory movie comes out, people line around the block to go see it. When someone simply talks about doing terrible things and sets it to music they are labeled as evil.

I'll be honest... I knew they were hinting at Christianity from the beginning... The Dark Carnival and all the Joker's Cards were all just an allegory for something deeper.
And I understood the concept of the song Miracles too... It makes me sad for humanity that there are so many people who didn't get it or feel the need to make fun of it. What's so bad about believing in all the wonderful things in the world as being miracles? I enjoy science as much as anyone, but is it so wrong to just accept something as being an amazing creation of God?
(For the record, I'm atheist... I'm just making an argument on their terms...)

Let me preface this by saying their music is bad. I'm sure I'll never understand why anyone listens to them or buys their merchandise or anything like that, but I've gotta admit, I kinda like their style. Its not the violent lyrics, the ridiculous make-up, definitely not their low IQ fan base or anything like that.
I have no idea how these guys are successful in any way, but I do know one thing: they are champions of pissing people off and drating with them.
And for that, I give them the nastyn800 internet stamp of approval. |

There is no way to properly articulate my feelings toward people who hate on ICP ONLY because they are ICP and Juggalos for being Juggalos. Yes, it's clown make-up and rap music and Faygo soda. So what. I catch less heck for being a lesbian. I AM NOT saying the gay community is less discriminated against (that's just stupid). I AM, however, being dead serious. I believe in compassion toward all creatures and the equality of all people. People laugh at me for that. But, they get openly hostile when I mention I love ICP. I suppose this is the wrong place to voice my despair. Sorry, IAB, I swear, this isn't even MY soapbox, I just found it here and I needed something from the top shelf. Honest. |
