Sunday, October 10, 2010 6:02:51 PM @IRockYeah & Kalimata, While I see where you guys are coming from, I am content to spend the rest of my life believing Hitler was the devil's spawn through and through, with not one ounce of good in him. It is paradoxically the only way I will sleep at night. |

Sunday, October 10, 2010 3:50:18 PM Ok Hitler had some good ideas. And a lot of bad. Dont all politicians. We had a political party here in the UK called "the monster raving loony party" and everyone laughed at their ideas of all night pub hours and pet passports (to ensure pets didnt have dieseases on travellng abroad). Years later we have pubs and clubs open til 4 or 5 am and pets need passports.

Sunday, October 10, 2010 6:03:18 AM I remember listening to a program on the radio, maybe CBC or PRI, could have been the BBC, talking about how Hitler is being studied and lauded in countries like Japan, India, and others. Not for his anti-Jew ideas, but for his socialist and nationalist ideas. I hope I don't get the uber flame for this, but not everything he did was horrific. Big time money was spent on improving the health care system. Non smoking was a huge policy. There were other things he did to benefit his country. Does this cancel out the horror of the Holocaust? No, it doesn't, and for sure we shouldn't be dressing up like him for Samhain, but in every evil, there is some good, and no matter how much we want to deny it, the good is still there. |

Saturday, October 09, 2010 6:45:26 PM I recall seeing the police kick out a guy in a hitler costume off the streets of Salem MA once. Mostly because he was causing so much trouble just by doing that. And I've also seen people dressed as Nazis in anime conventions. |

Saturday, October 09, 2010 1:16:42 PM "If you think the Japanese weren't as bad as the Germans, look up "The Rape of Nanking"." The Bataan Death March and Unit 731 also come to mind. |

Saturday, October 09, 2010 12:56:47 PM Japan doesn't know any better. They were with Germany in the war, remember? Besides, if the bloody prince can do it, so can some Japanese kid. |
