McGovern - Seeing as he has gang tatoos all over his face and is holding up a gang sign, I would say it's not much of a stretch that he is in a gang.
Sometimes stereotyping is accurate and sometimes not. When it's not is when a lot of damage is done. |

Whoever posted this deserves to be banned. They took what was a funny picture where the artist used Jay-Z as two of his references for the same image and didn't think he'd get caught, and tried to make a race issue out of it. Jay-Z raps about how he used to be a hustler cooking crack in his kitchen! When there's a picture of Morgan Freeman or Kofi Annan then it will be racial profiling. |

All I have to say is this, everytime my dealership has been robbed over the last ten years...90% of the time the thieves looked like this.
Were they black? Not every time.
So no. It isn't ignorant for me to agree with the stereotype that kids growing up listening to a rapper and dressing like a rapper who promotes a gangster lifestyle with his music are the ones out there robbing people and committing crimes all the time.
Even though, yes, there are big hairy bikers out there wreaking havoc across our the US...I have yet to be robbed or broken into by them.
In my area, those are the people you watch out for.
