either stay off, delete or hide people who make dumb updates, or just scan until something catches your attention.
None of these are good options. Stay off because someone is posting insipid nonsense? You would have to stay off everything. Delete or hide someone who might post something interesting? Dig around through a pile of crap looking for a peanut?

Seriously, I have asked myself that question many times. I have a facebook account for family that lives overseas and only use it to post/watch pictures of family members and to keep in touch. Who the hell cares that I’m going to get a haircut unless it is a drastic haircut and I add a picture of it and so on...
STOP POSTING CRAP NOBODY CARES ABOUT!
