Thursday, October 07, 2010 3:39:53 AM 'Blue Screen of Death for the PC Red Ring of Death for the Xbox.. I'm sure this has something like that too. Green flashing lights of death maybe?' Nah. Silver earpiece of 'deaf'. It'll be of such poor audio quality you'll subject yourself to repeated hearing tests to the point of mental instability. |

Monday, October 04, 2010 9:11:26 PM I remember when phones were just for talking and they had cords. Yes, and I remember when my phone number had only 4 digits. |

Monday, October 04, 2010 11:24:57 AM @OldOllie Maybe you should try not using your phone whilst driving at 75mph. Or when driving at all. Well, without the voice recognition feature, or a screen you can read in a 1/2 second, you're right, it's dangerous as hell, which was my point. |

Monday, October 04, 2010 10:37:33 AM Cool, I might get one of these. I could do with a new phone and I dislike my iPod Touch and Apple so I definitely won't be getting an iPhone. |

Monday, October 04, 2010 8:04:35 AM meh. When are we going to see truly new technology? All these phones are just variations of the same product. No innovation for quite some time. |

Monday, October 04, 2010 7:04:35 AM I don't know why but that Bing button bothers me to no end. It's already frustrating that Microsoft and Google are having such a pissy fight that I can't send a Hotmail message while using Chrome and my right click search options on Explorer are set to Bing. Microsoft lost any innovation it ever had and now simply copycats other companies and designers to come up with junk they force onto PC users. Almost makes me wanna switch to everything Apple. |

Monday, October 04, 2010 4:18:50 AM sorry, but this looks just cheap and very unfinished. i coded bbs apps more than 15 years ago, learned c++ and directx 9, html in 1995 and stuff.. i guess i could code that system in max. 14 days. ALONE.. ;) they are clowns at microsoft. its an art how hundreds of people need more than one year to code that with money available in the million dollars.. for what ? anyone can code that in a few days without money at all.. i don't get it. |

Monday, October 04, 2010 3:21:58 AM Look, Android, iOS and WP7 do the same things in radically different ways. Which way you prefer is a matter of choice. Personally, I like the WP7 interface. It's all digital. No rounded corner, no shadows, no 3D, no fake realism. It knows it's 2D and is proud of it. Will I buy one? We'll see, depends on phones released and developer uptake. @Ripper398: Just because you don't consider Windows Mobile smartphones, doesn't make you right. It fits every definition of a smartphone. The WinMo (and PPC before it) devices that had phone radios were smarphones. And WP7 is not based one "Window's 7 software", whatever the hell that is. It's based on, like all WinMo before it, Windows CE. In this case, it's Windows CE 6.0 R3. |

Monday, October 04, 2010 12:40:27 AM @rakoonhat - a company that makes technology seems a pretty random target for your passionate hatred. What have they done to you personally to warrant that hatred? Do they return the hatred, or is it kind of like hating a brick wall? |

Sunday, October 03, 2010 7:25:24 PM I'm skeptical. My phone runs Win Mobile 6. MS had a GREAT product in Windows Live Search. I used it all the time. It was basically an Internet yellow pages that used voice recognition. You spoke the name of a city and state, and then the name or category of a business. It almost always got it right on the first try. You picked the one you wanted, and then with a couple of clicks you could call them or get a map from your GPS location with turn-by-turn directions. Then they FORCED me to "upgrade" to Bing. I have never seen a worse example of useless, half-baked CRAPWARE as this putrid floating turd of a program. The voice recognition and GPS stopped working completely, and the user interface totally SUCKS. The "cursor" is now two dark orange hairlines above and below the selection against a $#!+ brown background! Try reading THAT on a 2.5" screen while driving in 75 mph traffic on a bright sunny day wearing polarized sunglasses! |
