stunt pilots often pull 13-15g for short periods, fighter pilots pull 9-10 sustained. 10 will not make a mere human passout...well most humans will but not all.

this was good, but they did too much cutting on the film, they should have shown the flying from the front beginning to end.

Only thing is they didn't do the peregrine justice... its easier to big up the 'nap of the earth' goshawk.

I often watch 'grins hunt over my home town, it can be difficult to spot the hapless target they are going for 'cos a smart adult bird doesn't chase the pigeon, it intercepts it. The bird switches from soaring very high in slow circles to a straight line, accelerating with minimal effort till it is hammering across the sky then just as you wonder what its after it drops into a stoop and thats when you see the luckless lunch blissfully flying right into...Whap!

Reminds me of this Far Side cartoon.

Also, you ever think that maybe during flight, time seems to slow for them, so they can make all those fraction-of-a-second decisions? Like when adrenaline is released for us?

I saw some predator bird nab a ground squirrel the other day. Looked like something fell off a phone pole, it cut it's descent maybe a foot off the ground.
