My normal inclination is to jest that
"humanity will eventually wane, consumed by it's self-imposed internet sequestration, only to be replaced by self-replicating machines. Those machines will help that waning, since some of them will be f*ck-bots and people will prefer them to the real thing because it's less stressful."
Seriously, the greatest library system the planet has ever seen is used for You-Tube and 4-chn.
The truth is: The best of us use 25% of our power at our life time peak. We are infants.
We will grow past this stage of "Borat," "Jack-Ass" and "Sarah Palin."
It won't be painless. Between here and there will be child augmentation protests and labor riots against automation.

I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy this (I did) or that I don't admire the talent of the person who built it (I do), but this goes to show how simplistic the music of the B-52's was. Is the bass part really played on only two strings with no change of frets? The entire keyboard part with only seven notes? |

This is not artistic to you? It may be someone else's music, but putting something together like this and programming it to follow a beat, and actually generate music is fantastice. This has also been done as art for quite a while. Look up the Jummy Hendrix museum and the Tower or guitars. |

Hmm for sure you can't expect a perfect performance for a first try, but the fact most important is that this is the first step and can only growing better......kinda scary if you think. If we pass our artistic knowledge to machines what will remain of our humanity? |
