Blockade runners? Maybe.
A real threat to Israel? Hardly.

It was the IDF that brought guns to a knife fight in that incident, not the other way around.

Yeah but that didn't stop Turkey from OKing the blockade runners, eh? Anyhow, that's one, as opposed to the 4 who've actively invaded, 5 who've financed those invasions, 1 who shot rockets (Iraq) and Iran which openly funds terrorists, and who's president has vowed to drive the Jews into the sea...

On the house, I joke! I did sell my houses (2) when I got divorced, and the one got fixed up really well by the new owners! Do want back! lolz!

Hmm okay then. Still remember I mentioned earlier that Turkey has been most supportive of Israel since 1949.

On another note how did the banks force you out? Harassment? Legal Harassment? Or just plain harassment?

I was forced by evil bankers to sell! Help help I'm being oppressed! (lolz!)

Yes @Cajun, but they left because their leaders told them to clear out. The Arabs wanted 'free fire zones' where they could fight without worrying about killing Arabic civilians. They were told they could return in a few days once victory was achieved and not only have their homes, but the properties 'liberated' from the Jews too!
Since they lost, they had to stay in the places they fled to, and their hosts (Syria, Lebanon, Jordan & etc) did NOT want them assimilating into their population. They've been human pawns ever since, which is sad. No one deserves to be held in camps for generations.
Also over 200,000 Jews were kicked OUT of Jordan, do they have 'right of return' as well?

@5Cats

If you sold your house that's NOT oppression. The Palestinians were forced out during the Arab-Israeli war.

@xavroche, I'm a Deist actually, I used to be a Christian. Also thanks for being polite, I certianly appreciate it!
I'm just making my opinions known. Perhaps people will agree, perhaps I'll learn something new and change mine :) In the meanwhile, Arabs and Muslims both have done their best (or worst) to destroy Israel for the last 60 - 1500 years or so.

@Omphalo - about 15 years ago, I was forced out of MY house due to economic oppression! (I sold it because I was broke, eh?) The new owners spent a ton of money & fixed it all up, so now I want it back!
What? PAY for it? It's MY house! I demand right of return! Also my children demand the house next door too (even though we never owned or lived there). Don't be unreasonable, just get out of MY house(s)!

@CrakrJak The Palestinian Arabs do want peace, they just want their homes back, too.

xavroche: All it would take for peace in Palestine would be for Palestinians to be peaceful. That's all, But they do not sincerely want peace, Their leaders won't even accept the right of Israel to exist. Hamas' charter has the 'extermination of Israel' written into it, That says it all right there.

@Volsunga: I'm not sure which holiday celebrates the concept of ignorance, but whatever it is you seem to be celebrating it everyday.
If your post was a joke it would be pretty funny, the fact that you are serious however is a little scary.

Palestinian families in the OPT. Maybe then you'd realize how silly your views are. Most of these people are just trying to lead ordinary lives and trying to better their situation by not being in a state of war. These people are neither saints nor demons, they have their faults but they are usually just trying to get by and find enjoyment out of life where they can.
You're quoting the Bible. I'm going to assume you're Christian... The Bible isn't a tool that's just there for you to quote passages from when you need it. As a Christian, I'm shocked at how little some Christians can understand the Bible. Knowing the words in the Bible means nothing if you don't understand God's message. Clearly, by the way you talk about about the Palestinians, you need to go back and read the Bible, not just the words....

@5cats: Yes, they rejected it in 1948. 62 Years ago... They had their reasons for doing it, it's unfortunate, but I think it's time to move on.
I think your approach is specifically the problem. The fact that you are so vehemently convinced that one side is evil and one side good is dangerous and completely counter-productive. What do you hope to achieve? You accuse me of being on the fence. I accuse you of reducing this to an ideological argument that leads nowhere instead of trying to be constructive and actually trying to find a solution.
The reason why I accused you of being in an ivory tower, and I still hold true to that partly, is that your view is extreme, unrealistic, and shows very little understanding of the realities on the ground. Saying that one side holds the truth and one side is full of lies and murder, that's just reductionist and frankly ridiculous. Spend a couple of weeks with a couple of Jewish families in Israel and a couple of weeks with a couple of

Now here's God's prophecy about Ismael and his prodengy (Arabs/Muslims) that makes sense of the whole mess:
Gen 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou [art] with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the LORD hath heard thy affliction.
Gen 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand [will be] against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

Volsunga: Seth was the third son of Adam, Not Satan, And God himself stopped Abraham from sacrificing Isaac. Your study of the Bible is severely in error.

..the leaders that control the Israeli government are apocalyptic Jews. They want to cause a war to bring about their Messiah. American Christians have the same belief, but its Jesus's second time around for them, which is why America supports Israel.

Uhm, I don't know where you got the hogwash that the Jews and Christians want to start a war to force the messiah to come, But it's really screwed up and not the truth.

Israel has already been in a few wars already and not because they seek the messiah's coming, But to defend their country. Christian's don't seek a war there either.

LOL!! Oh yes, the Maccabean revolt was an act of ignorance. Woe! If only Antiochus had explained to the Israelites that he was merely attempting to progress society instead of using fear tactics to Hellenize them, aiding a civil war and throwing a hissy fit by murdering thousands after losing the conquest with Egypt and destroying the temple he may have gotten a little more support...you think?

Just to point out a few lulz, In parallel stories from surrounding cultures, the myth of Abraham sacrificing his son names the angel that saved him. The name was Seth (Satan), Yahweh's antagonist.
The Hellenist (i.e. Greek) culture that they refused would have introduced almost modern concepts of science and philosophy. This is why Hanukkah is one of the most offensive holidays of any culture, it celebrates the concept of ignorance.
The reason there can't be peace in Israel/Palestine is because the leaders that control the Israeli government are apocalyptic Jews. They want to cause a war to bring about their Messiah. American Christians have the same belief, but its Jesus's second time around for them, which is why America supports Israel. There are too many people in power that want to see a war to fulfill their religious prophecy.
This whole situation is a clusterf*ck to say the least.

I only quote the Bible because I've had so many beers! lolz!
But seriously, fence sitting in times which require decisive action is a BAD idea.
Make up your mind! Choose and be counted. It is clear to me that one side has truth on their side and one side is comprised entirely of lies, hate and murder.
Which side are you (not just xavroche, I mean everyone) on?

WOW @xavroche! Where to begin...
#1 my point in pointing out the origional "British Mandate" is to show how the region currently claimed by the Palestinians (aka "Israel") isn't what they say it is, ok?
#2 the Palestinians HAD THE TWO STATE SOLUTION in their hands and REJECTED IT. M-kay? For this we should blame Israel & the USA of course.
#3 "ivory tower" brother I am a childcare worker. I wipe poopie bums for a living, eh? I KNOW the real world, please do NOT accuse me of that which I find highly offensive. I hold "ivory tower intellectuals" only slightly higher than pond scum. Slightly...
pulling loose and inaccurate historical facts from the interwar period

And what exactly do you think Hamas and other anti-semetic groups are doing? Don't sit on the fence there brother, come down on one side or the other, eh? Or else you'll fail when the chips fall. Revelations 3:16
