Originalform - There are only two ways that this can end, and only one of these has ever actually been done. One way would be to create the scent that the ants use back to the nest (hasn't happened). The other way? It continues until they die, unfortunatly. |

Simple: the number of ants has reached critical mass, and the nest is starting to implode upon itself. Left unattended, more insects will be sucked in to the vortex, then small birds, then garden furniture, until eventually the Universe is destroyed.
