dude... i could not do that job... well unless i was jobless and it paid really well. got mouths to feed, but dang i would totally petition for a parachute 1800 feet should be enough, people base jump at heights less than that. |

Give that man a parachute! Seriously though...if he had one strapped to his back is there a chance that it could save him? Though the extra weight would be anything but helpful. |

It gave me vertigo just watching it. The last part of the climb with those little prongs for a ladder is what really freaked me out. |

The problem with logic is that you know for a fact there is little material difference climbing a 100ft tower and a 1700ft tower. Your brian however just screams drat that, drat that! To be able to overcome that level of fear is very unsual. |

Looks like I'm not alone in getting a touch of vertigo while watching this. Also, while accidentally leaving something behind on the ground would be bad luck, imagine his boss radioing him saying that he's on the wrong tower. |

Riggers make pretty good money for the level of education required. I've never seen a crew operate unclipped so much though. That's just crazy.
Construction riggers installing the guyed masts have enough to worry about without adding falling to the mix; I've never seen one unclipped. |
